MARY LORRAINE HOSHEIT, 63, a longtime Concrete area resident, passed away at her home on Friday November 12, 2004.
She was born on March 9, 1941 in Seattle, WA, the daughter of Joseph & Mary Sherman Meeker. She was raised and attended school in Seattle until moving to California as a young girl. Mary had made her home in the Santa Cruz area of California until coming to Concrete in 1971. She returned to Santa Cruz where she was united in marriage to Dennis Hosheit on August 18, 1982 and together they made their home in Concrete where Mary operated the Casual Creators Craft Store for many years.
Mary enjoyed crafts and painting, but most of all her children and grandchildren, and she especially enjoyed becoming a great-grandparent.
She is survived by her husband, Dennis Hosheit. Her 4 children, Laurance Briggs and his wife, Luann of Paris, TX, Lisa Briggs and her husband, Lincoln Piper of Goldbar, WA, Denis Briggs of Oklahoma City, OK and Paul Briggs and his wife, Patty also of Oklahoma City, OK. 2 brothers, Joseph Meeker and his wife, Patricia of Hidden Valley, CA and Thomas Meeker of Sedro-Woolley, WA. 5 sisters, Roberta Silva and her husband, Ron of San Francisco, CA, Cathy Norvell and her husband, Lynn of Union City, CA, Charlotte Berger of Sacramento, CA, Michelle Olson and her husband, Michael of Aurora, CO and Patricia Meeker of Heber, AZ. Also 13 grandchildren, 1 great-grandson and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials are suggested to Birchview Memory Care in Sedro-Woolley or Skagit Hospice.
A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Catherine’s Catholic Church in Concrete on Wednesday November 17, 2004 at 11:00 A.M. with Father Robert Hagan, Celebrant.
