Maxine Royal, age 89, passed away on Monday, March 9, 2009 at the Life Care Center of Skagit Valley in Sedro-Woolley, Washington.
She was born on January 24, 1920 in Olympia, Washington to Hans and Grace Dunbar Wick.
Maxine grew up in Olympia, where she attended school and graduated from Olympia High School. She worked as a waitress for many years in Olympia, working at the Shanghai, Woolworth’s, and the China Clipper. She later resided in Cathedral City, CA for 20 years, returning to Lacey, WA for a time and for the past 4 years, she has resided in Burlington.
She enjoyed the water, going on long car rides and traveling.
Maxine is survived by her daughters, Beverly Coulter and her husband Donald of Burlington and Karen Heiser of Portland, OR. 7 grandchildren, Mark Coulter Becky, Aaron Coulter, Cheryl Pippin Rick, Leah Bell Brad, Gerald Coulter, John Heiser Kylie, Neil Heiser Jr., 10 great- grandchildren and 2 great-great- grandchildren. Her brother, Warren Wick of Olympia and a sister, Doris Mackey of Tumwater. Numerous nieces and nephews.
Private Family Memorial Services and Inurnment will be at a later date. Memorials are suggested to Life Care Center of Skagit Valley or Visiting Nurses. Arrangements and cremation under the care of Lemley Chapel, Sedro-Woolley.
