MICHAEL GLEN HOTSON, 53, a resident of Sedro Woolley, died Wednesday, October 20, 2004 at his home.
Michael was born on June 5, 1951 to Junior James and Pearl Pinneo Hotson in Fort Ord, California. He moved to Sedro-Woolley with his parents and spent his childhood here. As an adult he moved to the Woodland, WA area where he stayed for approximately 15 years. He returned to Sedro-Woolley in November of 1998. He graduated from Sedro-Woolley High School in 1969. During his life he worked as a logger, and long haul trucking and road construction.
His hobbies include: extreme skiing in the 1970’s at Mt. Baker, racing his 1979 Corvette at the Nevada Open Road Challenge in Ely, NV, trips to Las Vegas and Phoenix with his family and friends, spending time with his grandchildren, watching and attending NASCAR races, restoring old cars, co-owner of ‘White Trash Motor Sports.’
He is survived by four daughters: Bobby Hanna and husband Cory of Shelton, WA. Heidi Hotson of Rochester, WA. Tawni Allen and husband Matt of Woodland, WA. Cori Hotson of Cougar, WA. Two Grandchildren, Graycee Hanna age 11 and Braden Hanna age 8. One Brother Gene Fisher of Lynnwood, WA. Companion Kyle McNair, her daughter Laurye Schmidt and her husband Nic and their child McKynlee who referred to Mike as ‘Papa Mike.’ Mike and his companion shared a dog ‘Winston Von Cupp.’
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jim in 1992 and Pearl in 2002, and brother Dennis Fisher in 1999.
A celebration of life was held at the home of Kyle and Mike’s on October 9, Over 200 people were able to come and visit with Mike. The family of Mike Hotson would like to thank the doctors involved everyone who attended those visits, family and friends who have shown their support during Mikes final months.
