Mildred Irene Peterson, age 87, passed away Saturday, September 20, 2008 at Mountain Glen Retirement Center in Mount Vernon, Washington.
She was born August 14, 1921 in Elkhart, Indiana to Joseph and Edna Kester.
Mildred was a resident of Clear Lake for the past 30 years and formally resided in Sedro-Woolley for 40 years. She worked at Stokely Van Kamp for 20 years and she enjoyed gardening and cooking.
Mildred is survived by her daughter; Margaret Bough and her husband Doyle of Big Lake. 5 grandchildren; Doyle Bough of Mount Vernon, Linda Vanderpool of Mukilteo, Kevin Bough of Mount Vernon, Annette Allen of Seaview, and Kristy Starhein of Ocean Park. 4 great grandchildren; Christopher & Brittney Starhein and Joshua & Danielle Shackman. 2 brothers; Kenneth Kester of Sedro-Woolley, Robert Kester of Mount Vernon, and a sister; Joyce Oen of Boise, Id. Numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Raymond, a daughter Lucille Hein, and 5 brothers; Emerson, Fred, Dwane, Vernon, and Walter.
Inurnment will be at the Sedro-Woolley Union Cemetery with a Celebration of Life Service to be held at a later date. Arrangements and Cremation under the care of Lemley Chapel, Sedro-Woolley.
