Patricia R. ‘Patti’ Riggs a longtime resident of Snohomish County passed away at her home in Mill Creek, WA on Thursday, January 23, 2003 at the age of 50 years. She was born October 16, 1952 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri the daughter of Claude and Opal Young Riggs. Patti grew up in the Sedro-Woolley and Mount Vernon areas attending school in Mount Vernon until moving to Snohomish County 36 years ago. She worked as a confidental secretary for the Department of Social & Health Services in Everett for the past 5 years and she will be greatly missed by her co workers. Patti loved to collect pictures and angels and visit with family and friends and especially visit susie’s mountain. She enjoyed flowers, nature, and the outdoors and she especially loved to laugh and enjoy life. Patti is survived by her daughters Dawn Eastman and Claudia Kieselhorst both of Mill Creek, WA. A son Troy Eidsmess and his wife Turi of Anacortes. 5 grandchildren Michael and Ashley Eldred, Johnnathon Frey, and Caleb and Clarissa Eastman. 2 sisters Sue and her husband Les Williams of Sedro-Woolley and Marjorie and her husband Jeff Haws of Arlington. A brother Jerry and his wife Dori Riggs of Stanwood. An aunt and uncle Lloyd and Shirley Young and an aunt Ruth Young all of Scott City, MO. Numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral Services will be Tuesday, January 28, 2003 at 2:00PM at Lemley Chapel with Pastor David Browning of Christ The King Church of Mount Vernon officiating. Interment will follow in the Sedro-Woolley Union Cemetery. A reception will follow the Services at the Eagles at the corner of Metcalf and Warner.
