Robert D. Yost, a longtime resident of Sedro-Woolley passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 30, 2002 at Life Care Center of Skagit Valley in Sedro-Woolley. He was 86 years of age.
He was born on July 10, 1916 in South Bend, Indiana, the son of William and Bessie H. Yost. As a young man he had his own airplane and loved to fly. He married Edith Shelander in Reno, NV in 1980. Robert was a heavy equipment operator in the construction industry. Everyone who knew Robert said that he was a terrific man and had a beautiful laugh.
He is survived by his wife Edith at the family home, 2 sons Bob and John Yost. 2 step-children Roger Shelander and Leah Hopper, numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews and also Rose Hayes, a good friend of the family.
