Robert E. ‘Eddie’ Gillock, age 51, passed away Monday, July 27, 2009 at his home in Birdsview with his family at his side.

He was born October 6, 1957 in Marysville, California to Cebarn and Sharon Haggerman Gillock. Robert grew up in the Lake Chelan area working as a cook in various restaurants.

He was married to Brenda Mills on December 22, 1985 in Arlington, WA and they resided in Arlington and Fife before moving to Birdsview 13 years ago.

He, with the help of his family operated the Eagles Nest Restaurant in Concrete in 2000. Robert enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, and especially going to the ocean to celebrate his wedding anniversary each year.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda Gillock of Birdsview. 3 children; Sarah Gillock of Mount Vernon and Heather Gillock and Robert Gillock Jr. and his wife Tara of Birdsview. His grandchildren; Adawnya Gillock and Robert Gillock III of Birdsview. His father; Cebarn Gillock of Mansfield, WA and his mother-in-law; Mattie Mills of Concrete. 2 brothers; Mike Gillock of Newport, WA and Gene Gillock of Spirit Lake, ID. 2 sisters; Sheri Cooper and her husband Ernie and Jenny Ivy and her husband Wayne all of Mansfield, WA. Numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Sharon, his step-mother, Ruth, his 2 brothers, Charles and Eric and his father-in-law, Grady Mills.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to his care givers from Visiting Nurses; Joline, Katy, Asher, Allison and others as well as Aero Skagit Personnel who were always there when needed and Skagit Hospice.

Graveside Services will be on Friday, July 31, 2009 at 1:00 PM at the Hamilton Cemetery with Pastor Duane Stixrud of the Wildwood Chapel officiating. Memorials are suggested to Skagit Hospice. Arrangements and Services under the care of Lemley Chapel, Sedro-Woolley.
