Robert Joseph Rigacci, age 90, passed away Tuesday, May 8, 2012 at the Skagit Valley Hospital in Mount Vernon, Washington. He was born January 7, 1922 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Peter and Enrichetta Rigacci.
Robert grew up in Milwaukee, WI attending school and in 1940 he enlisted in the U.S. Army serving in the South Pacific during WWII as a Staff Sergeant. Upon his discharge from the service, he attended DePaul University graduating with a B.A. in Business Administration. He then worked as an accountant for a wholesale produce business in Chicago for many years.
Robert was married to Bernice in 1949 in Milwaukee and she preceded him in death in 1994. For the past 14 years, Robert has resided in Sedro-Woolley, WA.
He is survived by his two sons; Michael Rigacci and his wife Nancy of Sedro-Woolley, WA, Peter Rigacci of Mount Vernon, WA and a granddaughter, Ashley Rigacci of Sedro-Woolley, WA. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Bernice and two sisters, Emily Menguy and Iola Regacci.
Inurnment will be at the Wood National Cemetery in Milwaukee, WI. Arrangements under the care of Lemley Chapel, Sedro-Woolley, WA.
