ROBERT LEROY CARR, 66, a resident of the Birdsview community, passed away at his home on Saturday December 6, 2003.
He was born on November 4, 1937 in Portland, OR, the son of Leslie & Roberta Carr. He was raised and attended school in Portland, graduating from Parkrose High School in 1956, where he met his wife Judy. After high school he joined the U.S. Coast Guard, serving from 1956 to 1960.
Robert worked as a butcher for many years and then went to work for Portland Packaging, retiring in 1999 after 21 years of service.
After his retirement, Robert and Judy moved to the Birdsview area, near Concrete, WA. He enjoyed many hobbies, but gardening was his favorite.
Robert is survived by his wife Judy at the family home. His children, Leonard Carr & wife Renee and Frank Carr & wife Julie all of Portland, OR, Laura Anderson & husband Mike of Sedro-Woolley, WA and Tina Carr of Concrete, WA. 2 sisters, Alice Hiester & husband Jerry of Hillsboro, OR and Barbara Ruskey of Portland, OR. 5 grandchildren, Christopher, Jason & Nicholas Carr and Misty Clem, all of Portland, OR and Wendy Clem of Johnson City, TN and 3 great-grandchildren.
