Robert M. Oxenham, age 89, passed away Monday, October 26, 2009 at Home Place Special Care in Burlington, Washington.

He was born August 17, 1920 in Blaine, Washington. Bob was a resident of Sedro-Woolley since 1947 coming here from Baldwin Park, California , working as a laborer in construction for many years.

He was married to Francis Hyatt on December 7, 1964 in Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho and they would have celebrated 45 years together this year.

Bob was a member of the Laborer’s Union and the Elks. He enjoyed fitness, sports, especially boxing and he loved to be out in the sunshine.

He is survived by his wife Francis Oxenham of Sedro-Woolley. 3 sons, Robert M. Oxenham and his wife Sharon of Ocean Shores, Donald R. Tracy and his wife Annie of Lyman, and William J. Millsap and his wife Sandi of Renton. 3 daughters, Billie Kay Mahoni of Davis, CA, Bobbie Jean Owens of Arnold, CA, and Robin Lee Walker of Sedro-Woolley. Numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 2 Half-Brothers, Kenny Smith and his wife Claudia of Vancouver, WA and Ron Smith and his wife Gladys of Mount Vernon. His special friends, Norma and Gene Spangler of Boynten Beach, FL and his beloved pets, his dog Baby and his cat Buddy. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, David Lee Tracy, 3 brothers, Walter, Jack, and Jerry Oxenham, 4 half-brothers, Gig, Gordon, Wayne, and Chester Smith and a half-sister, Lorraine Ferguson.

Funeral Services will be Friday, October 30, 2009 at 2:00 PM at Lemley Chapel, Sedro-Woolley with Pastor Billy Farrar officiating. Private interment will follow at the Sedro-Woolley Union Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, October 29th from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Memorials are suggested to Alzheimer’s Association or the Lion’s Eye Bank.
