Robert Wayne Kitchen

Friday, November 28th, 2008

Robert Wayne Kitchen, 60, a resident of Concrete, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Friday, November 28, 2008.
Robert was born on April 16, 1948 in Walla Walla, Washington, the son of Claude & Alene McGuire Kitchen.
At a young age Robert became a traveling man, as his family often moved with the Railroad that his father worked for.
Robert still enjoyed traveling and experiencing new things.
To support his family he worked as a construction worker, working out of Union Local #242 in Seattle. He worked on Benaroya Hall in Seattle among other buildings around the Northwest.
Between his work and his travels, Robert met many people, and once the hand shake was over you were like family.
Robert is survived by his wife, Crystal at the family home. Three sons and their wives, Jerry Douglas & Rhonda Kitchen, Robert Wayne & Jessica Kitchen and Cory Ben & Rachel Kitchen. Three daughters and their husbands, Cynthia Ann & Shawn Owre, Roni Jean Winters and Patricia Dawn & Rob Kasper. One brother, Larry Nathaniel Kitchen. Two sisters, Virginia Ruth Alaniz and Norma Jean Ocaccio and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, George Allen Kitchen.
Robert was a big man in stature and a bigger man at heart. He was well loved and will be missed by all.
Memorials in memory of Robert are suggested to the Concrete Eagles. Private family services will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Lemley Chapel, Sedro-Woolley.
