Sandra J. Clark Browning, a Mount Vernon resident passed away at her home on Friday, November 15, 2002 at the age of 63 years. She was born on February 8, 1939 in Concrete, WA, the daughter of Oliver Jay and Carnealia Herrin Clark. She was raised and attended grade school in Marblemount and graduated from high school in Concrete. Sandra was a loving mother and homemaker. Sandra worked at various jobs in the upper Skagit Valley, working at the Baker Lake Resort and the Lonestar Charter Service, locally known as ‘The Clinker Club’. She was married to Claude Browning in Mount Vernon, WA. She enjoyed traveling in their motorhome to Arizona and making lots of longtime friends. She was an avid antique collector, even getting her husband Claude into antique hunting.
She is survived by her husband Claude of Mount Vernon. 1 son Keith Plumlee of Mount Vernon, 2 daughters, Kim Plumlee of Mukilteo, WA and Kristi Clark of Longview, WA. 2 brothers, Howard Clark and his wife Judy of Riverside, WA and Richard Clark of Burlington. 3 grandchildren, Tiara, Christopher and David. 1 uncle and aunt and numerous nieces and nephews. Sandra was preceded in death by her parents.
A Memorial Service will be held at Lemley Chapel, Sedro-Woolley, on Wednesday, November 20, 2002 at 2 PM with Rosie Robles of the Federation of Christian Ministries officiating. The family suggests memorials be made to your favorite charity. Cremation and services under the care of Lemley Chapel, Sedro-Woolley.
