SHARON GAY RIDDLE PILGRIM, 66, a longtime Sedro-Woolley resident, passed away at her home on Thursday November 20, 2003.
Sharon was born on September 25, 1937 in Astoria, Oregon the daughter of Fred & Geraldine Wycoff Metcalf. She was raised and attended school in Centralia, WA before coming to Skagit County in 1949 and graduating from Sedro-Woolley High School with the Class of 1955. After graduation, she enlisted in the US Marine Corps. For many years, Sharon worked as a florist at the Sedro-Woolley Greenhouse and for the past 10 years she worked at Fibrex in Burlington.
Sharon’s leisure time was spent gardening around her home, painting, hiking, and reading. She also enjoyed time with her animals and her family.
She is survived by her 2 sons and daughters-in-law, Mike & Arlene Riddle and Gary & Carie Riddle all of Sedro-Woolley. Her daughter, Dawn Riddle of Stanwood. 7 grandchildren, Michelle, Scott, Kjel, Anthony, Colleen, Christine & Jamie. 2 great-grandchildren, Shy-Ann & Dakota. 1 sister, Linda Lepak of Washington, DC; 1 brother, Terry Taylor and his wife Carla and a special friend, Ed Dreyer, all of Sedro-Woolley.
Memorials are suggested to the Skagit Valley Humane Society or North Puget Oncology.
A Graveside Inurnment Service will be held on Saturday, November 29, 2003 at 10:30 AM at the Sedro-Woolley Union Cemetery with Pastor Ed Horak of the Northwest Christian Center officiating. A reception will follow the services at the family home for friends and family. Cremation and services under direction of Lemley Chapel, Sedro-Woolley.
