Stefanie Ann Heggie, 26, a resident of Concrete, died on Monday, July 20, 2009, the result of an automobile accident near Sedro-Woolley.
She was born on April 9, 1983 in Arlington, Washington, the daughter of Vickie Lynn Heggie. She first made her home with her parents, Don & Vicki LaPine in Mount Vernon until moving to Oso, Washington where she was raised and she attended school in Arlington. She has since made her home in Birdsview and Concrete.
Stefanie had worked for the past several years as a barista at the Jitterbugs Espresso stands at Trail Road & Hwy 20 in Sedro-Woolley and at Cook Road & Old Hwy 99 north of Burlington. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Glen Heggie and tragically shortly prior to her death by her mother, Vickie Lynn LaPine.
She is survived by her Dad, Donald LaPine of Concrete. Her grandmother, Phyllis Groendyk of Arlington. Her beloved pets, Broady, Oscar, Bandit and Miss Kitty and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
A potluck BBQ gathering to Celebrate Vickie & Stefanie’s lives will be held on Saturday, July 25, 2009 at 11:00 AM at 46781 Baker Loop Drive in Concrete. The family requests that in lieu of flowers memorials be made to a funeral trust for Vickie & Stefanie established at People’s Bank. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Lemley Chapel, Sedro-Woolley.
