Steve C. Hislop, 56, of Concrete, passed away at his home Thursday, Nov. 13, 2003. He had been a Skagit County resident for 37 years. Steve was born April 17, 1947 in Longview, WA to George E. and Minnie A. ‘Hereford’ Hislop. He attended Western Washington University and Port Angeles Community College where he graduated in the Forestry Technician Program in 1976 and worked in the Forest Service Industry for over 35 years, the last 14 years with the Department of Natural Resources. He was known as the ‘Tree Nanny’. He loved the outdoors, backpacking, hiking and traveling the world.

Son, Brady Hislop both of New Haven, CT
Sister, Pat Williams
Brother, Ed Hislop both of Longview, WA
Step-father, Maurice Watson of Castle Rock, WA
Numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
A Celebration of Steve’s life will be held Saturday, Nov. 22, 2003, 1:00 p.m. at LEMLEY CHAPEL with Rev. Ron Schenk officiating. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, Northwest Regional Office, 6315A Fleming, Everett, WA 98203-4506.
