SUDIE S. GOODMAN, 92, a former Skagit County resident passed away in Olympia, Washington on Thursday June 3, 2004.
She was born on August 10, 1911 in Pineola, North Carolina, the daughter of Daniel & Loretta Vance Phillips. She was raised and attended school in North Carolina, coming to Skagit County in 1946, residing in Rockport.
In 1955 she was united in marriage to Ralph Goodman and they made their home in Rockport and Sedro-Woolley. She has made her home in the Olympia area for the past 3 years.
Sudie was a devoted wife and mother and enjoyed gardening and quilt making.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Roy & Dell Pyatte of Susanville, CA and a daughter, Anne Postill of Tumwater, WA. 12 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Warsaw Pyatte, her husband, Ralph Goodman, a son, Johnnie Phillips, 6 brothers and 4 sisters.
Memorials are suggested to the Arthritis Foundation or the American Heart Association.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday June 8, 2004 at 1:00 PM at the Clear Lake Community Covenant Church. Pastor Tim Hedberg officiating. Interment will follow at Sedro-Woolley Union Cemetery. Arrangements under direction of Lemley Chapel, Sedro-Woolley.
