Susan Lee “Suzi” Wilson, 65, a resident of Sedro-Woolley, passed away at her home on Friday, January 11, 2013.
Suzi was born on October 29, 1947 in Mount Vernon, WA, the daughter of Arthur & Helen (Vandeman) Gerlach. She was raised and attended school in the Ballard area, graduating from Ballard High School in 1965. She then attended Western Washington College in Bellingham for 2 years, then transferring to the University of Washington where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in education.
On December 29, 1983 she was united in marriage to Terry Wilson in Idaho and they made their home in Bothell and Suzi worked as a floral designer for Ballard Blossom for over 18 years.
In 1996 Suzi and Terry moved to Sedro-Woolley and Suzi made porcelain dolls and dresses for them, which she would sell. She was also an avid knitter, making afghans and stocking caps which she would donate to the Sedro-Woolley Police Department to distribute for those in need.
She was a woman small in stature but big in heart. She loved her husband, her children and her friends.
Suzi is survived by her husband, Terry, at the family home; her daughter, Keri Olsen and her son, Scott Wilson both of Everett and her step-daughter, Jeanne Williams of Marysville; her uncle, Ray Hilt and a cousin Greg Hilt of Sedro-Woolley.
A Graveside Inurnment service will be held at the Lyman Cemetery on Saturday, January 19, 2013 at 1:30 PM.
Memorials are suggested to Hospice of the Northwest in memory of Suz
