Saturday, January 18th, 2020

Tempra Dawn Jones, 44, a resident of Sedro-Woolley, passed away at her home surrounded by her loving family and friends on January 10, 2020.

Tempra was born on July 6, 1975 in El Monte, CA, one of three daughters of John & Thea (Scobba) Heslop.  She was raised and attained her education Southern California.  She made her home in Colorado, Arizona and California until settling in Sedro-Woolley in 2009.

Being an independent mother of two, she worked at a variety of occupations to support them, and found that working with the developmentally and physically disabled was the most rewarding, working as a health care provider for several years.

In 2012 Tempra organized a fund raising group called ‘Tempra’s Tata’s’, raising funds and promoting breast cancer awareness, which evolved into ‘Tempra’s Tikes’ raising funds for the Ronald McDonald House, supporting children battling cancer.

Tempra is survived by her children, Alekxandria Ion and Gage McLarty; her granddaughter, McKenna ‘Sqishy’ Carlson; her mother, Thea Kosmerchock; her father, John Heslop and his wife Carol Snider; her sisters, Nicole Ventress and Tedra Delgado and her husband Art and numerous nieces and nephews.

No services will be held.  In honor of Tempra, memorials are suggested to the Ronald McDonald House, 5130 – 40th Ave NE Seattle, WA 98105-3055. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Lemley Chapel, Sedro-Woolley.
