VALERIE LOUISE PARKER RICHARDS, 42, a resident of Mount Vernon, passed away on Sunday June 26, 2005 at Skagit Valley Hospital in Mount Vernon.
She was born on June 9, 1963 in Forks, Washington, the daughter of Walter J. & Phillis Parker. In 1964 the family moved to Sedro-Woolley and there Valerie was raised and attended school. She graduated from Sedro-Woolley High School with the class of 1981.
Valerie was united in marriage to Randall Richards and they made their home in California, and from that union her son, Andrew Walter Richards was born.
Valerie returned to the Skagit Valley in 1999 to be closer to her family due to illness.
She is survived by her son, Andrew Richards. Her parents, Walt & Phillis Parker. 1 brother & sister-in-law, Todd & Rose Parker and their children, Christy & Ryan and 1 sister, Tami Farrell and her children, Karissa & Zachary Farrell & Conner Bartholomeus and Conner’s father, David. She is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
A Life Celebration will be held on Saturday July 16, 2005 at 2:00 pm at Lemley Chapel in Sedro-Woolley.
Valerie’s family requests that memorials be made to the American Diabetes Association or the Multiple Sclerosis Society. Cremation and services are under the direction of Lemley Chapel, Sedro-Woolley.
