Wesley K. Syverson age 78 of Sedro-Woolley passed away in Bellingham, Tuesday, October 14, 2003. Mr. Syverson was born May 1, 1925 in Pillsbury, North Dakota to Knute and Mary E. King Syverson. Wesley married Myrtle I. Stevens October 1, 1950 in Esmond, North Dakota, and later moved to Skagit County in 1952. He Served in the US Army during WWII and was stationed in France. Wesley had various jobs; in logging where he drove truck, worked in heavy construction as a powder man on the Gorge, at both Upper and Lower Baker Dams and the North Cross Highway. He was a member of the Laborers Union, Northwest Glacier Cruisers, started a local snow mobiling grooming program in the Mt. Baker District and loved working around his home on various projects.

Wesley is survived by his wife Myrtle of the family home;
6 daughters: Ione and her husband Richard Bosch of Sedro-Woolley
Peni and her husband Gary Ramsey of Burlington
Betty Ensley and Keith Monteith of Acme
Evelyn and her husband Mike Lawrence of Bellingham
Fay and her husband Tim White of Mount Vernon
Vicki and her husband Charles Lederle of Sedro-Woolley
19 grand children, 4 great grand children.

A private family Graveside Inurnment service will be held at Hawthorne Memorial Park in Mount Vernon.
