William ‘Bill’ Loyd Young, age 73, of Concrete, Washington, passed away August 8, 2022 at home.  He was born October 29, 1948 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania to Leonard and Rachael (Shoop) Young.

Bill received a bachelor’s degree in Civil Technology-Land Development in 1972 from the  University of Houston.  Bill and Diane were Married on April 18, 1970 in the chapel at the University of Houston campus. They remained in Houston, Texas until moving to Concrete, Washington in March of 2009.

Bill was a member of St. Catherine’s Mission Church in Concrete and was a former member of Concrete’s Chamber of Commerce.

Bill enjoyed playing golf, photography, and especially watching University of Houston sports.

Bill is survived by his wife, Diane; brother, Richard and his wife, Kim Young; niece, Jennifer; sister-in-law, Susie and Stewart Perlow; nephews, Matthew Perlow and Mitchell (Brittany) Perlow: father-in-law, Travis Elliott; aunt Vicki Roberts.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Rachel Young.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00, Monday, August 22, 2022 at Saint Catherine Catholic Church, Limestone Ave., Concrete, WA.
