She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Gene Ammons; a daughter-in-law, Marilyn Coker and a great-granddaughter, Samantha Baumgartner.

The family would like to thank all those who helped care for Betty during the past six weeks, including those at United General Hospital, Skagit Valley Hospital and Mira Vista Care Center.

    Gram,
We will miss you so much…and not just your buscuits and gravy but hopefully we’ll miss the several pounds they packed on all of us! Samantha has been waiting over 4 years to taste them and I’m so glad her great-gram is with her now. :0) We have so many memories that you have left us with and I know I’ll always be your “favorite granddaughter.”

“Miss Betty” will always have a special place in our hearts. From the time we arrived at the church in Clear Lake, she welcomed our family in like a Grandma…and treated us as her own. She never tired of goofing off with my son — on Sundays there would be this race to say “I love you the most!” between the two of them. She would banter back and forth with me as she left the sanctuary after morning services (I looked forward to that every week!). And of course, she would love on my wife! She had this radiant smile that would brighten anyone’s day, and she was a living testimony of the love and grace of Jesus! She had such love for all of us, and while we can take comfort in knowing that she is at home with the Lord, she will still be missed terribly. We love you, Miss Betty!
