Bobbie Jo Fox

Saturday, December 30th, 2023

Bobbie Jo Fox passed away Saturday, December 30, 2023, at her home in Clear Lake, Washington.  She was born April 3, 1939, in Sylva, North Carolina.

Bobbie was a loving and hard-working mother and grandmother.  She was well known for famous biscuits and gravy.  You could always find her in the kitchen making all the family favorites on Thanksgiving and Christmas, but it didn’t end there, she stayed on duty and waited for everyone to finish their meals so she could hand wash every single dish, not because she had to, but because she enjoyed it.

Bobbie wasn’t just a talented holiday chef for her family, she truly put her best into all her jobs outside the home as well, including sawmill work with her brother, James.  She worked multiple positions in the healthcare industry.  She also worked as a flagger, and was loved by both staff and students in her time working with the school district.

Bobbie enjoyed staying busy and filled her time with many hobbies including crocheting, gardening, rooting for the Mariners and Seahawks, and caring for her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and the rest of her family.  She also enjoyed flipping cartwheels and eating Ida’s fried bread.

Bobbie is survived by her sisters, Ida Foster, Jeannie Brownfield, Jennifer (Ken) Cave, Annie Erickson and Debbie (Doug) Crouter; brothers, Louis (Laura) Ensley and Bill (Cindy) Ensley; daughter, Peggy (Ron) Small; sons, Raymond “Doollie” Fox, John Fox and Will Fox; son in law, Mike Stringfield; nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond “Junior” Fox; daughter, Sande Stringfield; brothers, Charles Ensley and James Ensley; parents, TJ & Mabel Griffin; brothers in law, Clayton Erickson, Jim Foster and Tom Brownfield.

Bobbie was loved and admired by her children and grandchildren and everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her; she will be missed by all.

A time of visitation will be available from 8:00 to 10:00, Thursday, January 4, 2024, at Lemley Chapel.  A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00, Friday, January 5 at the Clear Lake Baptist Church, 12732 Hemlock Street, Clear Lake, WA, Pastor John Batts presiding.

Special thanks to Hospice of the Northwest for all their love and care for mom and our family, Colleen, Susan, Valonda, David and all the others. Share your memories of Bobbie and sign the online guest register.

my husband worked with Bobbie at a local mill, they were throwing wood and a piece of wood hit Bobbie in the head, she needed stitches, my husband told me about it and he felt so bad that he wanted to send her flowers, so I said go do it…so one day I was working at UGH and a lady walked up to me and said ” your husband is the only man that has ever sent me flowers” I”m sure I had a puzzled look on my face, as did everyone else standing there, then she told the story about her injury. That is how I met Bobbie. Nice lady may she rest in peace. Condolences to her family
