Carmella Grace Rommel, age 92, passed away at home in Burlington, Washington March 16, 2023. She was born September 28, 1930, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Luigi and Grace (Glorioso) Tripi.
Carmella is survived by her son, Scott Rommel; grandsons, Marshal (Cassandra) Rommel and Mathew (Monica) Rommel; four great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Vincent and Matthew Tripi.

Carmella is a friend of mine here at Heritage Lake apts in Greenfield and will be remembered as kind, gentle and caring. We took her to lunch for her birthday and she had a great time. May she Rest In Peace.

I have never forgotten the warm friendship that Carmella and I had during the 10 or so years she joined my bus tours since I opened in 1998, and I still continue the tour business today, Mary’s Personalized Sightseeing (in Metro Milwaukee) We continued to keep in touch for years after and last saw her at my Dad’s funeral in 2008. My thoughts and prayers are with her as she moves on with her spiritual destiny after a long productive life.
