Dixie “Dee” Lee Hess, age 64, passed away December 4, 2020 at home in Bremerton, Washington.  She was born June 20, 1956 in Sedro-Woolley, to Harold and Mildred Margaret (Washington) Mahle.

Dee graduated from Burlington-Edison High School and attended Skagit Valley Community College.  She served as a Past Secretary for the American Legion Unit 68, Bremerton and was a VFW Auxiliary Member #239.

Dee is survived by her husband, Thomas Hess; children, Christina Stockholm (Monte Wright), Joni (Jim) Odegaard and Caniece (Joe) Perez; step children, Tamara, Zackery and Jennifer; siblings, Mary Washington, Margene Washington, Rick (Robyn) Stevenette, Martina (John) Talley and Michael Griffin; foster siblings,  Kimmi, Joann Willard, Michael Hill, Tracie Murdock and Becky Devenere, being the closest; numerous grandchildren, Savannah being the closest; one great grandchild; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents; parents; brother, Raymond Mahle; and sister, Willyne “Kelly” Gomez.

A Time of Visitation will be available from Noon to 4:00, Monday, December 7, 2020 at Lemley Chapel, 1008 Third Street, Sedro-Woolley.  A Graveside Service will be held at 12:30, Tuesday at the Washington Family Cemetery, Rockport.  Due to COVID-19 concerns, masks will be required as well as social distancing.  Arrangements are under the care of Lemley Chapel, Sedro-Woolley.  Share your memories of Dee and sign the online guest register.
