Donald (Don) F. Bentz Sr., 91, of Sedro-Woolley, passed away on Monday, January 22, 2024.  Don was born on July 20, 1932 to Art and Leona Bentz in Winona, Minnesota.

Don was a 1950 graduate of Burlington-Edison High School and attended WSU on a boxing scholarship.  He joined the Army in 1951 and served until 1954.  He worked for the Courier Times newspaper as a printer/pressman and was proud to belong to the union.  Don was also a 65 year member of the American Legion.

Don is survived by his children:  Janell (Kirk) Silves, Fritz (Dianne) Bentz and Donald (Joyce Brown) Bentz Jr., grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  He is also survived by his sisters Sharon Bentz and Lynn Diana (Mike) Cyert.

Don was preceded in death by his sister Shirley and his grandson Clint Silves.
