Edith Mae Roberts, 81, of Cordes Lake, AZ, passed away Wednesday, March 4, 2020 at YRMC West Medical Center in Prescott, AZ, due to complications from open heart surgery.
She was born on November 06, 1938 in Kansas City, MO.
Mrs. Roberts was the owner of a commercial dry cleaning business, a skilled seamstress, an avid antique doll collector and a talented cook. She was a former longtime resident of the Skagit Valley until settling in Arizona.
Edith is survived by her love of 18 years Don Putnam of Birdsview, WA; her son, Charles R. Lynch of Bullhead City, AZ; daughter, Carrie F. Priest-Quigley of Hemet, CA; 7 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; her sisters, Karen Taylor of Johns Island, SC and Emma Evelyn Ayers of Arizona; her brother, Edward Van Vleck of Mobile, AL, and daughter-in-law, Sherry Lynch of Sedro-Woolley, WA; She was preceded in death by her husband, William Lynch; an infant son Bill, son John D. Lynch, 4 siblings and parents Florin and Carrie Van Vleck.
Private graveside services will be held at the Green Hills Cemetery in Burlington. Arrangements are under the direction of Lemley Chapel, Sedro-Woolley.

Edith, I know our Heavenly Father has released you from all your earthly pain. I choose to remember the days when you still lived here in WA and John was still with us. Like some of the other comments your laugh was unmistakable. Rest easy and enjoy the company. 💝 Sherry Lynch
Wow…Edith I can’t believe the last time I talked to you was at Crystal’s wedding. It seems like just yesterday Rick and I were talking to you about going to see you in Arizona, damit and now you’re gone! I can’t believe that I won’t see you again or hear your beautiful southern accent🥰 You will be missed. Some of my oldest memories are those of the times I was with you- thank you. I will cherish those thoughts and memories for the rest of my life. Grandma, I will never forget your laugh, your voice, your smile. Everyone always tells me that I look like you and that I have a voice like yours, 8 octaves high. I’m going to miss you, I will never forget the memories I have with you, your house near the orange orchards, the fun times with icicles in sedro wooly, the Christmas’ that I couldn’t wait for that big box to be delivered. My mom used to call you the “funny one”. She’d also refer to you as the pretty one. I know how much she loved having you just down the street for so many years. You will be missed. Chuck and Carrie, my heart goes out to you, and I look forward to celebrating her life as soon as we are able to be together again.
