Edward Joseph Benoit, 77, passed away on Tuesday, June 22, 2004 at the Linden Grove Health Care Center in Puyallup, WA.
Edward was born on September 10, 1926 in Seattle, WA, the son of Alex Paul and Julia Chambers Benoit. He was raised in Seattle and graduated from O’Dea High School. He attended Success Business College in Bellingham, WA. He was first married to Charlotte Frodsham in 1948. He later married Gloria Taylor in 1963. Edward has lived in several cities in Washington including Seattle, Tacoma, Bellingham, Newhalem and Concrete. He was employed by Seattle City Light until his retirement in October of 1981. He was a member of the Eagles and Moose Lodge.
Edward is survived by 2 daughters, Barbara Damron and her husband Tom of Concrete and Rose Benoit of Port Angeles. 2 sons, Mike Benoit of Blaine and Vance Benoit of Sedro Woolley. A brother, Ben Benoit and sisters Mary Truselo and Valerie. 11 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Gloria in 1978, a son, Tom Benoit and 2 brothers, Charlie and Joe Benoit.
Visitation will be Friday, June 25, 2004 from 9:00 AM until the Services at Lemley Chapel in Sedro Woolley at 1:00 PM. A committal service will follow at Forest Park Cemetery in Concrete, WA. Pastor Rob Thomas of the Community Bible Church of Concrete will be officiating. A potluck fellowship will follow the services at the Catholic CCD Center in Concrete. Hello my name is Edward Joseph Benoit, I’ll be 67 on November 18th of this year I was born November 18th 1955 my mother’s name was Hazel Benoit my cousins lived in Walnut Creek I had a grandmother in San Francisco and was just wondering is this gentleman is any relation to me I know one of my cousins was named Joe Benoit Walnut Creek that’s about it if anybody has any information they can email me I’d be thrilled to hear that I was related to this gentleman thank you so much!
