Gary Latting

Monday, September 4th, 2023

Gary Lee Latting, 69, of Sedro-Woolley, passed away on Monday, September 4, after losing his battle with cancer. Gary was born on March 16, 1954, to Dorothy May Denny and Paul Potete in Sedro-Woolley, Washington.

Gary was a Cement Finisher by trade and known throughout the industry as one of the best in his field. He learned the trade from his father-in-law, Wilhelm Fink, and they worked together for many years. Gary then passed the trade to his son, Craig William Latting, who now carries on the legacy.  On any given Sunday, you could find him watching football and cheering on his lifelong football team, the Los Angeles Rams.  In his spare time, he enjoyed watching the weather, anything sports related and when time allowed, a trip to the casino or track for a bet.  Gary loved his children, family and close friends and he was quick to help anyone in need.

Gary is survived by his daughter, Monica Lynn (Latting) Williams, of Sedro-Woolley; son, Craig William Latting, of Sedro-Woolley; grandson, Carter Alexander Latting, of Burlington; sisters, Anita Kay Anderson, of Sedro-Woolley, Debbie Jean Moxley, of Sedro-Woolley; aunt, Gladys Louise (Denny) Stringfield, of Sedro-Woolley; nephews, Justin Michael Gandy, Blaine Anderson, Heather Nicole Grandy and Clayton James Anderson of Sedro-Woolley; and many cousins.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Dorothy (Denny) Fink and Paul Potete.
