Gayle Marie (McDougle) Poole, 60, passed away May 9, 2020 at Providence Hospital in Everett after complications from heart surgery.
Gayle was born in Sedro-Woolley on May 24, 1959 to Edward and Agnes McDougle. Gayle lived most of her life in Sedro-Woolley where she attended high school.
Gayle’s greatest joy was her grandchildren, along with planning and hosting family events and holidays. Her favorite time of year was fall and her favorite place was the Ocean. Lincoln City, Oregon was one of her favorite places.
Gayle was loved by a big family including her long time soul mate, Fred Sizemore; daughters, Tara Banoie and her husband Mike and Melissa Woolsey and her husband Randy; her grandkids, Julz, Mya, Zayden, and Zoe Banoie, and Ryan, Eli, and Max Woolsey; her mother, Agnes McDougle Stransky; siblings, Bonnie, Lyle, Diana and Janet, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.
She is joined in Heaven by her father Edward, sister Janie, granddaughter Emma, and her late husband Stephen “Craig” Poole.
A private family service was held Saturday, September 26, 2020 at Union Cemetery, Sedro-Woolley, where she was laid to rest. Cremation arrangements are under direction of Lemley Chapel, Sedro-Woolley. Share memories of Gayle and sign the online guest register.

I feel your grief, and know it will be difficult without her being there for you. Take comfort in knowing Gayle’s in God’s arms now and that we will all meet up her and our other lost love ones down the road.

Gayle my friend. I am still in shock that you are gone. We grew up together and I have so many wonderful memories of my entire life with you. I will surely miss you, but I know you are with lots of loved ones in heaven. I know your family is feeling a great loss. You were such a loving daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and friend and the world was a better place with you in it. I will never forget you my friend, I loved you dearly!!!

Gayle, I will always treasure so many many memories, as friends, as Sisters in Law, we’ve had a lot of laughs and a few tears along the journey of life. I know how much Tara, Melissa, grandkids, Fred, Mom, Siblings, nieces and nephews meant to you, I can’t imagine the loss they’re feeling now. It still does not seem real that you are gone. We will remember you for the loving caring person that you were and continue your traditions wirh the kids. No one can ever fill the space of Grandma.
