Wednesday, March 31st, 2004

GOLDIE LEE LOWRANCE, 72, a longtime Sedro-Woolley resident, passed away at her home on Wednesday March 31, 2004, surrounded by her family.
She was born on November 30, 1931 in Wetumka, Oklahoma, the daughter of Charlie & Jewell Sweeden Coyle. She was raised and attended school in Weleetka, OK. After high school she worked as a bookkeeper for a local car dealership. On May 3, 1952 she was united in marriage to Burl Wayne Lowrance in Sayre, Oklahoma. In 1954 they moved to Sedro-Woolley where Goldie was first a devoted wife and then mother. As her family grew she started to work as a food processor for National Frozen Foods in Burlington.
She enjoyed animals and nature, going to the theatre and plays, music and poetry and reading. She had a great knowledge of books and used that to help her grandchildren with their school projects. But her greatest joy was her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She always had an open door and was willing to listen and help. She never gave up on anyone.
Goldie is survived by her five daughters, Darlene Wenrick of Sedro-Woolley, Coleen Lupardus and her husband Mark of Burlington, Carla Wood and her husband Mike of Sedro-Woolley, Shelly Lowrance and companion Tom Bryans of Clear Lake and Robin Clay and her husband Tracy of Sedro-Woolley. Her son, Luke Lowrance and his wife Chris of Sedro-Woolley. 9 grandchildren, Darla Scott and companion Jose Rodriquez, Josh Scott and companion Amanda, Angie Wenrick and companion Chuck Sanchez, Joey & Angie Lowrance, Lisa & Craig Edson, Dasa Lupardus, Marissa & Shyann Bryans and Desni Clay. 7 great-grandchildren, Dakoda, Skyler & Jasper Scott, Madison Roppel-Lowrance, Austin & Alye Edson and Bryar Sanchez. 1 brother, Ray Coyle and his wife Martha of Lake Hughes, CA and a sister, Ruby Morgan and her husband Alan of Oklahoma City, OK. 2 sisters-in-law, Dean Rogers and Corene Manning, cousin, Grady Edwards, special friends, J.C. & Florence Adkerson and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, and by her husband Burl in 2001. The family extends a special thank you to the staff at Option Care. Memorials are suggested to a charity of your choice.
Graveside services will he held at the Bow Cemetery on Friday April 2, 2004 at 2:00 P.M. Pastor Mark Johnson of Central United Methodist Church officiating. Services under direction of Lemley Chapel, Sedro-Woolley. Share memories of Goldie and sign the online guest register at www.lemleychapel.com
