GRACE L. LANG, 78, a resident of Burlington, passed away on Tuesday, October 12, 2004 in Sedro-Woolley at the residence of her longtime friend, Marjorie Wise.
Grace was born on January 19, 1926 in Buckley, Washington, the daughter of James & Sarah MacDonald Golden.
She was raised near Buckley until the family moved to California in the early 1940’s where she completed her education. In 1960 she was united in marriage to Lawrence Lang in Mexico, and they made their home in California until coming to Skagit County and settling in Burlington in 1968. Grace worked as a bookkeeper for Young’s Accounting in Sedro-Woolley for several years until starting her own business, Grace Lang’s Accounting, a business she operated in Sedro-Woolley for over 25 years, actively working until September of this year.
Grace is survived by 2 brothers, Edward Golden and Tom Harrison, both of B.C., Canada. A brother-in-law, Ralph Riley of Buckley, WA. 3 nieces and 3 nephews. Longtime friend, Marjorie Wise and longtime friend and employee, Dina Kelley, both of Sedro-Woolley; also her best friend and companion, her dog, Cuddles.
Grace was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence; 1 brother, John Harrison and 3 sisters, Olive Clifford, Josephine Gates and Eva Riley.
At Grace’s request there will be no formal services, but you are invited to attend an open-door gathering at her business office at 911 E. Moore Street in Sedro-Woolley on Monday October 18, 2004 from 1:00 to 3:00 PM.
