GREGORY LEE APPLE, 58, a longtime resident of Sedro-Woolley passed away unexpectedly at his home on Wednesday, June 22, 2005.
He was born on July 16, 1946 in San Diego, California, the son of Charles and Frances ‘Fran’ Rapp Apple. He resided in California and briefly in Japan before settling in Sedro-Woolley in the early 1950’s.
He attended school in Sedro-Woolley and graduated from Sedro-Woolley High School with the class of 1964.
Greg worked as an orderly at Northern State Hospital for a time, then as a welder at Skagit Steel for 13 years. He also worked as a lumberman at a mill in Bow.
In August of 1972 Greg was united in marriage to Nancy Frank in Mount Vernon and for the past 32 years they have made their home in Sedro-Woolley.
Greg enjoyed a variety of sports and activities; he was an avid bowler and was active with a traveling bowling team going to tournaments around the area; he enjoyed golf, fishing and playing poker; he was an avid reader of history and WWII articles; he was a pretty good backyard mechanic but most of all he enjoyed time with his grandchildren.

His 8 grandchildren, Nicole, Cody, Megan, Liz, Matt, Brandon, Tiffany and Isabella. 1 great-grandson and 1 half-sister. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A Life Celebration Fellowship will be held on Friday July 1, 2005 from 2 pm to 6 pm at the Sedro-Woolley Community Center and all are invited to stop in and share memories.
Greg’s family suggests memorials be made to a charity of your choice.

I miss the times when my sister an I would visit with our dad, Jeff, and we would have marshmallow fights in the garage. Miss you grandpa! Wish I wasn’t so young, but that makes the memories all the better. Love you!
