Harla Jane Chritsel Bisbey Norris, 70, our dear, sweet beloved mom, grandma, sister, and protector went home to be with Jesus on June 10, 2004, peacefully at home in Day Creek, WA in her loving son’s arms. Born at Hastings Nebraska on October 23, 1933 she was the daughter of Carl and Katherine Loose Christel.
Harla was an exceptional artist, enjoying the paintings of sceneries and animals all of her life. She was a most popular cocktail waitress in Portland, OR for many years. She lived with her family in Day Creek since 1988 following an injury at work.
Survivors include her sons and their wives: Gary and Valorie Bisbey, Greg and Belinda Bisbey. Daughter Vicki Bisbey. Grandchildren: Brendan Bisbey, and daughter Asia, Wendy Ethington, husband Scott, Children KaraJo and Grant; Tessa Bisbey; Buck, Molly, Harla, Sam Bisbey; Brandy and Beau Hooper; dear Jonathan Boone Bisbey. Sweetest sister and brother-in-law, Gwen and Terry Erickson; brother Ron Christel; numerous other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her precious son, Geof, in 2003; her beloved parents, Carl and Katherine; and her two dear sisters, Donna and Barbara.
