Helen C. Nations, 77, a longtime resident of Clear Lake, WA, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, October 2, 2013.  She is now with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, whom she loved dearly.

She was born on October 25, 1935 in Sylva, North Carolina and at a young age moved to Clear Lake.  She graduated from Sedro-Woolley High School and later met her husband, Arthur Samuel Nations.  They were united in marriage on June 25, 1956.

Helen spent many years working at Clear Lake Elementary School and Family Chiropractic Center where she touched many lives with her compassion for others. 

She loved cooking, sewing gardening, and most of all, being surrounded by family and friends.

Helen is survived by her husband, Arthur Samuel Nations; sons, Steve (Nancy) Nations and Robert (Lisa) Nations; grandchildren, Lisa (Brandon) Hoyle, Kaylee Lamphiear and Shayla Nations; great-grandson, Brandon Hoyle Jr.; father, Frank “Junior” Moore; brothers, Jim (Sylvia) Ammons, Ernest (Marlene) Ammons and Jack Moore and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Emma Moore; sister, Merle Fox; brothers, Carl “Bud” Ammons Sr., and Roy “Bob” Ammons.

A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, October 9, 2013, at the Clear Lake Cemetery, with Pastor Ron Edwards officiating.   A gathering for family and friends will follow immediately after the service at Hamilton First Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to the Clear Lake Firefighters Assoc., PO Box 186, Clear Lake, WA 98235.  Services are under the care of Lemley Chapel, Sedro-Woolley.
