JAMES THOMAS ROCK, JR., 56, a resident of the Hamilton area passed away at his home on March 9, 2005.
Jim was born on April 16, 1948 in Los Angeles, California, the son of James T. & Ruth Ludwig Rock, Sr. He was raised and attended school in L.A.
He worked as a machinist at the Angeles Can Manufacturing Co. in L.A. for over 20 years. He came to Washington in 1992, first living in Bellingham until moving to Hamilton in 1994.
Jim enjoyed fishing, scuba diving, mining for gold, rock hunting and looking for that special bargain or item on ebay. He has been a member of the Hamilton Baptist Church for the last few years, becoming active in a variety of ways.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his daughter, Candy Rock of Aloha, OR and her children, Ariel & Megan Rock, Beau Wheeler and Caitlin Hacker. A brother, Steven Rock, and Pam Smith, Candy’s mother.
A Life Celebration will be held on Thursday March 17, 2005 at 11:00 AM at the Hamilton Baptist Church with Pastor Ron Edwards officiating.
The family requests memorials be made to the Hamilton Baptist Church or to Jim’s family to help with funeral expenses.
