    Jay was my neighbor and friend for many years. Jay, Stefanie and the boys were good neighbors and friends. Jay especially helped me many times and always had a good sense of humor and was a hard working man. He really was one of the best guys I have ever known and I will miss him a lot.

    Jay and family have been faithful members of the public library for years but we had missed them for the past year, wondering why they hadn’t come in. We will really miss Jay and hope Stephanie and the boys will come back soon. Jay was a wonderful husband and father from what I observed and just a really nice guy. I am so sorry for your loss. There are no words. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

    To the entire Wyndham Crew;

    Jay visited our office daily while working at Action Marine in La Conner, he came in to get some fresh licorice that we kept at the ready for customers. Jay was our biggest licorice fan! Our puppy Marina got so excited when he walked in the door! She loved him, but in fact, he shared his licorice with her, and now she is addicted thanks to Jay:-)

    I know it isn’t Goodbye, but instead “See you later”. I thank God that we were able to enjoy his smile.

    Our sincere best to you as you mourn the loss of the every day physical presence of one jolly, happy guy, a loving father and husband, wonderful family member and friend. Art, Marcie and Marina Kaplan

    Stephanie and family – First, I love you, Steph, always have and always will. I also loved Jay – what a “gentle giant” as you referred to him. I will miss him always and I know for sure that you are looking forward to the day you can be reunited. In the meantime, stay as strong as you are and let me know if you need a break – Utah is nice and hot in the summer! We’re planning on coming up for two weeks this summer to WA and hope we can get together for a bit. Love, love, love to all! Karen
