Joan Ann Jagger a longtime resident of Sedro-Woolley passed away Saturday, November 30, 2002 at the Skagit Valley Hospital in Mount Vernon, WA at the age of 71 years. She was born March 12, 1931 in Missoula, Montana the daughter of Charles and Hazel Daniels Standley. Joan grew up in Montana and was married to Donald Jagger in 1951, moving to Forks, WA and later Port Angles, WA until coming to Sedro-Woolley in September of 1970. She and her husband operated Jagger’s Market at Haines and State St and she also operated JJ Antiques in Sedro-Woolley for many years. She enjoyed antiques and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Joan is survived by her son Don W. Jagger of Anachorage, AK and 4 daughters Lee Ann Jagger of Sedro-Woolley, Lynne Childs of Mount Vernon, Linda Sue Jagger of Sedro-Woolley, and Laura Jagger of Burlington. 5 grandchildren Debbie Ann Jagger, Damon Jagger, Jacob Childs, Ashley Horton, and Steven Byrd. A great grandchild Matthew Childs. Her former husband Donald M. Jagger of Sedro-Woolley. 2 sisters, Loris Abplanalp and Beth Lavon Thiesen both of Tacoma, WA. Numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
At Joan’s request there are to be no services. Memorials are suggested to the Mount Baker or Skagit Valley Kidney Centers. Arrangements and cremation under the care of Lemley Chapel, Sedro-Woolley.
