John A. Rhodes, 63, passed away on October 23, 2013, at home in Sedro-Woolley.
John was born October 10, 1950, in Memphis, Tennessee, to Jesse and Virginia (Clark) Rhodes.
He served in the US Navy for 20 years, as an aircraft mechanic, retiring in 1987. Then, he worked at Boeing as an inspector, retiring in 2012.
He is survived by his children, Lisa and Robin Washburn, Wanda Buss, Webb and Lecia Kelley; his six grandchildren, Kelley, Jason, Tim, Alex, Brandon and Kielan; his siblings, Thomas W. and Shirley Rhodes, Anita Billingsley, Steven and Joan Rhodes, Margaret and Richard Kennedy.
John was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Kyoko in 2012.
The family will receive guests at the time of visitation from 2:00 to 4:00 PM, Sunday, October 27, 2013, at Lemley Chapel, Sedro-Woolley.
I will always remember John as a warm, and honest soul. He was kind and giving, both with his knowledge and his time. I enjoyed working with John at Boeing. My deepest condolence to his family.
It was such a pleasure to work with John. He was an outstanding inspector and he will be missed by many. Thanks John, for making the world a better place to live. Rest In Peace, my friend.
