Judith ‘Judy’ Gayle Nichols, age 85, passed away peacefully August 9, 2024 in Sedro-Woolley, Washington.  She was born May 5, 1939 to Harold and Bonnie (Jackson) Sorsdal in Bayview, WA.

Judy was married to Ronald G. Nichols for over forty years.  She was a secretary for the Sedro-Woolley School District and Fire District 8 for many years.  She spent many hours gardening, with her animals, sewing and knitting.  She and Gordon were longtime members of Skagit Squares and enjoyed all types of dancing.

Judy is survived by her daughter, Tina (Brian) Riggins; stepson, Craig (Jagoda) Nichols; stepdaughter, Dalene (Bill) Carrell; grandchildren, Brynn and Graeme Riggins, Hannah Gilbert, Claire Briggs, Jessica Hunt, Keith Bajito Nichols, Michael Carrell and Patrick Carrell; numerous great grandchildren; brothers, Jerry (Barbara) Sorsdal and Noel ‘Herk’ Sorsdal; special niece, Heather (Curtis) Sorsdal; sister-in-law, Linda (Norm) Mitchell; her Thursday lunch crew at Sedro-Woolley Bakery and her friends at Country Meadows.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ronald Gordon Nichols; son, Brian Scott Nichols.
