Judy Marie Chase

Sunday, March 3rd, 2024

Judy Marie Chase, 77, of Sedro-Woolley, Washington passed away Sunday, March 3, 2024.

Judy was born in Vancouver, Washington on November 8, 1946, to Cecil and Eleanor “Margie” (Reinertsen) Pepin.  At age 7, Judy was adopted by Julius and Lois (Webster) Jonasson of Sedro-Woolley.

She attended Sedro-Woolley High School and was a member of the track team, graduating in 1965.

Our mom was a hard worker, who rarely missed a day’s work.  She worked for Brown Root at the Shell Refinery for close to 20 years.  She enjoyed having a good time, was quick-witted and could hold her own in any situation.  She took pride in her daughters and grandchildren.  She taught us about good music, how to laugh until we cried and expected us to stick together as sisters.  Christmas was her favorite time of the year, and we will cherish those times for years to come.

Judy is survived three daughters, Kimmi (Mark) Kitchen, Karri (Ricky) Foster and Kelli Chase; seven grandchildren, Jesika (Adam) Kitchen, Ryein (Sonny) Taylor, Klaye (Nicole) Kitchen, Kent Kitchen, Dustin (Deicy) Mathis, Kaiden and Jillian Foster; seven great grandchildren, Adley Martin, Tennesyn Taylor, Leighton Kitchen, Tolen Taylor, Falyn Martin, Briggs Kitchen and Owein Lou Taylor; sister, Carol (Al) Gulliford; brothers, Gene (Ann) Doss and Tim Bradket.  She will always be remembered as a spunky, spitfire that would speak her mind, no matter what, and she will be greatly missed.

A Celebration of Life Potluck will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2024, from 1:00 to 4:00 pm at the Burlington Eagles, located at 119 North Cherry Street, in Burlington, Washington.

In lieu of flowers, memorials made be made to Humane Society of Skagit Valley in Judy’s name.  You may share memories with the family online.

Kim, Karri and Kelli my heart is heavy for all of you and I pray God will comfort you in the days ahead. I’m not sure how Judy put up with all of us as teenagers but she did and always welcomed me into her house when sometimes she probably would have like to sent me home. She had such an infectious laugh and always treating me with such kindness. Your mom always has had a special place in my life and the memories made at her home with all her family will never be forgotten. Love you all very much and thankful to have had your wonderful mom in my life.

Rest in Peace Judy, I remember her coming into the Bakery on Monday morning for coffee, she would always say.. you look as bad as I do, week ends are rough and then laugh.

    Hey Jud.
I will forever miss you even if I did not see you often. You were such a big part of our lives growing up, and into our adulthood, when you had your beautiful daughters.
One story that will live on for me about you, is when Mom, You and me went out on the town. You fell and cut your chin open. The only thing to put on it was Preparation H. We laughed about that forever. When you were in the mix, it was always an adventure.
Thank you for taking such great care of all of us, teaching us to laugh a lot, dance, smoke cigarette’s, and put on makeup.
You will forever live on in my heart and soul. Dance with my little brother up there. I am sure Mom, Tim and Pat were waiting for you.
    You are a one-of-a-kind lady.
Lots of Love forever and ever.
    Love
    Linda
