Kevin Lee Clevish

Tuesday, June 28th, 2022

Kevin Lee Clevish, brother, uncle, and son, passed away unexpectedly on June 28, 2022 at the age of 39.

Born prematurely in Seattle, WA on July 21, 1982, Kevin’s life was truly a blessing.  At only 2 lbs, 10 oz, Kevin was a fighter and overcame a lot of obstacles from the start.  As a child, Kevin studied really hard to maintain good grades.  He joined math and science clubs and graduated from Sedro-Woolley High School in 2001 as a member of the National Honor Society.  He was also awarded a Promise Scholarship from the State of Washington, presented by (then) Governor, Gary Locke, which Kevin used to attend Skagit Valley College in Mt. Vernon.  In 2003, Kevin graduated from SVC with an Associate of Arts degree.

Kevin spent several years working in senior healthcare before switching paths and becoming a team member of the Burlington, WA Costco in 2006.  In 2008, Kevin proudly purchased his own home in Sedro-Woolley.

In December 2019, Kevin decided he was ready for a change in his life and transferred from the Burlington Costco to the Cedar Park, TX Costco.  While in Texas, Kevin spent a lot of time on nearby Lake Travis, going on various outdoor adventures such as hiking and metal detecting and even taught himself to play guitar.

Kevin was a lover of antiques, classic cars, the outdoors, his Norwegian heritage and no-bake cookies.  He was often described as being genuinely kind to those around him and had a way of always seeing the good in everyone.  Tragically, Kevin’s life was cut short in Leander, TX as a victim of crime.

He is survived by his parents, Lee and Linda (Foss) Clevish; his sister, Stacy (Clevish) Schuyler and husband, Robert (RJ) Schuyler; niece, Elise Schuyler; nephew, Ian Schuyler, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and relatives in the U.S., Canada and Norway.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00, Thursday, September 8, 2022 at Lemley Chapel, followed by a Graveside service at Union Cemetery in Sedro-Woolley, with Pastor Jim Cannon officiating.  Share your memories of Kevin and sign the online guest register.

I am so sorry for the loss of Kevin… a friend to all. Every time I saw him, he always greeted me with the biggest, most genuine smile. The world won’t be the same without that smile, but I (as will so many others) will always remember it. Sending my love to you all!

I met Kevin in elementary school, and one thing that always stuck out was his profoundly positive attitude. He always had a kind or encouraging word to say. The world today could use more men like him
