Kourtney I was hoping that I would have gotten to meet you, but you passed away before I got the chance and for that I am very sorry and sad. I do know a little about you from your Uncle Albert and your Mom, Jeanna and I have heard nothing, but good things about you. You were a smart and beautiful young lady with seemingly big goals and a heart of gold with lots of friends and family that loved you to death so I am sorry that I didn’t get the pleasure or the honor to have met you before you were so abruptly taken from this earth. I hope you are in a better place now and may you rest in peace. Love Corrine

    Dear Cadel Family
I am so sorry. Daniel my son was a very good friend of Kourtney and we can not imagine the pain and suffering you are going through. Daniel called Kourtney his little sunshine and I saw his light go out last Saturday when he heard. She has a part of him with her.
I know she is in a great place but we all wish she could still be here.
I hope someday you can find peace in your wonderful memories of such a wonderful person.
May God support you and show you his love.

    God be with you

  • Ruth Schmidt

    To the Cadle Family,
My thoughts and prayers go out to all of you at this difficult time. I am Jaydee Schmidt’s grandma and came to almost all the volleyball games. I always noticed Kourtney’s constant smile and enthusiasm during the games. As a mom and grandma I know how your hearts must hurt right now. I pray you will know God’s peace now and as the days go by.

    Love,
    Ruth

  • Melissa Brulotte

    Dear Cadle family,

I do not know you and I have never met your daughter, but I wanted to let you know that, together with my family, I am holding you all in prayer. Kourtney was a beautiful, talented, and well-loved girl. While I do not know exactly how you feel, I share deeply your sense of loss at this time as my daughter was killed on Sept. 30 in Bellingham. Please know that I have offered up my suffering for the intentions of your family and am praying for peace for all of you. The following is something that was written to me that helped me a lot:

“It’s the hardest thing of all, as a parent, to risk loving like God loves because the pain is so great. I believe that children are blessings not only because God takes the love of a man and wife and blossoms it into life, but also because we are changed more into the likeness of Christ as we raise our kids. As we love them, sacrifices come easier, prayers multiply like fishes and loaves and joy overflows. But saying, “Not my will, but Yours be done, O Lord,” comes very hard. So hard, that Jesus sweat drops of blood before He could say it. He understands where you are right now. He can go and meet you where no one else can.”

I am so sorry for the loss of your precious daughter and will continue to hold you close in my heart.

    May peace be with you,
    Melissa Brulotte

  • Whitney McCann Meissner

My heart is with your family and the Mount Baker School District. Being a Sedro-Woolley girl at heart (and knowing Norm from high school) in addition to being a high school principal now, I am so saddened at this news.

My thoughts are with you. May the joyful memories of the times you had with this precious girl carry you through the dark days. Know you have many people lifting up your spirits during this difficult time.

    Love,

    Whitney

  • Barbara Ebe

    Dear Cadle Family,
I remember meeting Kourtney for the first time at Thanksgiving dinner at Raylene’s condo. I will always remember my first impression. ‘What a sweet, happy young lady!’ Her constant smile and her fantastic sense of humor will alway be remembered.
Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers everyday. Kourtney was a very special young lady and she will always be remembered.

  • Daniela Scarpino&Family

    Dear Cadle Family,
My family and I live right up the street from you guys. I remember playing with Kourtney and Jessica Weaver when I was in second grade. My sister, Sara, has played with your daughter Corbyn a couple of times.
Even though my memories with your beloved daughter are very vague…I do remember her being a fun girl to play with. I am in shock with this terrible news.
I am so sorry. And I pray that all of you will know that we are thinking of you guys and keeping you in our prayers as you mourn for Kourtney.
It is hard to believe that she has passed away. My sister and I saw her at the Glenhaven pool over the summer. And we just knocked on your door on Halloween night for treats.
Nevertheless, know that we are just up the road, and we are grieving with you during your loss.

    God bless all of you,

    The Scarpino Family
