Lenny Clontz

Tuesday, February 26th, 2013

Lenny James Clontz, 37, a lifelong Skagit Valley resident, passed away at his home in Sedro-Woolley on Tuesday, February 26, 2013, surrounded by his loving family.

Lenny was born on October 23, 1975 in Sedro-Woolley, the son of Steven Clontz & Barbara (Hyler) Clontz. He was raised and attended school there, graduating from Sedro-Woolley High School with the class of 1994.

Lenny was united in marriage to Jenny Wilson in Mount Vernon in 1994 and they made their home and raised their family in Sedro-Woolley and Concrete.

He worked in the timber industry most his life; first working on the green chain for Sedro-Woolley Lumber and then at Northwest Hardwoods for many years, recently retiring as a supervisor due to a work related injury.

First and foremost his children were his joy in life; after which he enjoyed hunting, fishing, crabbing, working on and racing cars, and living life to the fullest.

Lenny is survived by his son, Jordan and his companion, Kalista Becker and his daughter, Melissa Clontz all of Concrete; his mother, Barbara Parker and his father Steven

In loving living memory of my father, Steven Clontz, I request memorials be made to North Puget Cancer Care at United General Hospital in Sedro-Woolley.  A Celebration of Life will be held at the Inspire Church, 805 Township Street in Sedro-Woolley on Saturday, March 9, 2013 at 1:00 PM. A potluck fellowship will immediately follow at the church.

Cremation arrangements and services are under the direction of Lemley Chapel, Sedro-Woolley.

Barb, I am so sorry for your loss, I can only imagine the pain you and your family are feeling. I was talking to JoAnn Hammer just a few days ago, and she was telling me how sick Lenny was. He is in a better place now, and GOD will take care of him. I pray for the day GOD will take me and rid me of my multiple sclerosis and everything that goes with it. I think of you often and how beautiful you are, inside and out.. GOD bless you and your family.

Barb and family, we are so sorry to hear about Lenny’s passing. We truly hope and pray that the Lord will comfort you in this hour of need. We remember back to when we were all playing softball for all of those years together and our families basically spent the Summers together at some tournament. Lenny always found something to do when he was there so he wouldn’t get bored. Maybe that started his love for the outdoors? Ha! Lenny was always fun to be around at the campgrounds because he always found something new to do or found something to throw into the fire. We always will remember Lenny as this funny boy who grew into a great young man. When we think back on our softball days and all the fun we had, Lenny is certainly in the middle of those memories. Be proud of that great young man Lenny turned out to be. It is a credit to you and your families of the Father and Son Lenny became. Thanks for the memories and the laughs Lenny. Now Jesus welcomes you with open arms!
