Loralei Meredith Boome, age 42, passed away on Friday, December 12, 2008 at the St. Joseph Hospital in Bellingham, Washington.
She was born October 15, 1966 in Bellingham, Washington to Lawrence and Norma Jefferson Boome, Jr. Loralei grew up in Bellingham and later resided at the Tulalip and Upper Skagit Reservations and for the past two years, she has resided in Bellingham. She worked as a Domestic Violence Advocate for and was a member of the Upper Skagit Tribe.
Loralei loved to practice ceremonial activities and she enjoyed making Native American arts and crafts such as bead work, carving, painting and she liked to write.
She will be remembered for always placing other people needs first before her own and her involvement with her community.
She is survived by her two daughters; Mary Henry and Sophia Henry of Bellingham. 4 grandchildren; Joshua, Loralei, and Lawrence Henry and Raven Revey. Her mother; Norma Ruby Boome of Bellingham and brothers and sisters; Rita Boome Revey, Charles F. Boome, Irma Ridley, and Pauline Damien, all of Bellingham. Numerous nieces and nephews.
Her finance; Jeremy Boyd of Bellingham , the father of Mary and Sophia; Randall Henry and step-father of Mary and Sophia; Isadore Tom III.
Prayer Services will be Wednesday, December 17, 2008 at 7:00PM with Funeral Services to follow on Thursday, December 18, 2008 at 10:00AM at the Upper Skagit Tribal Gymnasium with interment to follow at the Sauk Indian Cemetery. Arrangements and Services under the care of Lemley Chapel, Sedro-Woolley.
