LYDIA MARIE BRASCHLER was tragically taken from her family and friends at the age of 13 years. She was born on October 5, 1987 in Arlington, Washington, to Donald Varo and Tanya Marie Braschler. She was raised in Bremerton, WA until 1991 when she moved to North Freedom, Wisconsin with her family. Lydia was active in numerous sport activities at Baraboo Middle School. She also played the flute in the school band, receiving regional awards for her musical talent. She was also a member of the First Baptist Church in her hometown.
Lydia is survived by her Mom and Dad, Tanya Marie & Steven Zautke a brother Matt Frost, grandparents, Allen & Dorothy Zautke all in Wisconsin. 2 brothers, Joshua & Casey Zautke, of Edmonds, WA. Her father, Donald G.E. Varo, 2 brothers, Michael & Daniel and 3 sisters, Deanne, Charlene and D’onelle, 1 niece and 1 nephew, all in Oregon. Also numerous aunts, uncles and cousins in Washington, Oregon and Wisconsin.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Clarence & G. Marie Braschler of Snohomish, WA, her uncle, Kim Sturlaugson of Mount Vernon, WA, cousins, Tiffany Westedt of Wisconsin and Corrine & Ronald Baschler, Jr. of Marysville , WA.
We, Lydia’s family wish to express our sincere and heartfelt thanks to all the area businesses and individuals for all there thoughts, prayers, support and love throughout this entire trying time up to the present.
Lydia’s smile, wit, grit and sense of humor will be greatly missed by many. She’ll forever beloved and in our hearts .
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the trust fund set up in Lydia’s name at any Horizon or Washington Mutual Bank.
A Celebration of Life will be held Friday April 26, 2002 at 1:00 PM at the Trinity Lutheran Church, 301 N 18th St. Mount Vernon. Pastor Bob Weltz of the Emmaunel Baptist Church officiating.
