Marcy Beernink, age 58, a lifetime resident of Sedro-Woolley, passed away May 17, 2012, at United General Hospital. She was born on November 19, 1953 to William and Mary (Smallwood) Stoner in Sedro-Woolley.
Marcy’s pride in life was taking care of her husband and grandkids, grandkids being #1. After surviving from cancer 28 years ago, she lived life to the very fullest, and helped everyone else to as well. Marcy enjoyed the outdoors, crafting, scrapbooking, custom making cards, and gardening. She worked for the Sedro-Woolley School District for the past 24 years, many years in Lyman, most recently as a librarian at Sedro-Woolley High School.
Marcy is survived by her husband of 38 years, Jon; daughters, Joni and her husband, Brad McSpadden, and Amanda Beernink and her boyfriend, Eric Feiro; granddaughters, Harleigh and Malia; siblings, Nickki Townsend, Sandi Gasho, Ric Stoner, Ron Stoner and Debbie Warren; 14 nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, John Stoner; brother-in-law, Brad Warren, and close friend, Shirley “Till” Doran.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, June 2, 2012, at Lemley Chapel in Sedro-Woolley, with Ron Stoner officiating.

Guestbook

  • Matthew J. Falcon

I just learned yesterday of Marcy’s passing. On behalf of the Falcon family, we send our love, however belated. My memories of Marcy are from our times at Cowlitz Timber Trails. All the BBQs, good times with the kids, and the great times that Marcy and Jon shared with my parents will always be dear to us. I can still hear Marcy’s welcoming, loving and friendly voice in my mind.

I always remember how happy Marcy was in school. She was such a great friend. My heart goes out to you Jon and your family.

  • Julie & John Robbins

I will always remember Marcy smiling and laughing and enjoying life. She was such a happy friend to many and loved so many people. We will miss her much and we will pray that your family will find comfort in God and in wonderful memories of family and friend get-togethers. Joni, you wrote wonderful words of life about your mother, and you truly loved her and cherished her. May your families be comforted each day. In His love,J&J

Marcy and I graduated together but more importantly we were childhood friends. Marcy had such a pure, loving heart….always the “encourager”. We hadn’t seen each other for years but I can’t imagine it wouldn’t be like as if it were yesterday.. I can only imagine the love she showered each of her family members with. I’m not ready to say goodbye……so I will say that I will see you soon. God bless each one of you.
