Margaret Florence Cabe, age 82, entered the gates of heaven on March 13, 2018.
She was born on April 21, 1935, to Florence and Dale Jones in Sedro-Woolley.
Margaret was a long time resident of the small town of Lyman. It was there where she married Morris Cabe in September of 1951, and soon after started and raised their family with one son, Rick, and three daughters, Pam, Frankye, and Chris.
Family and friends were Margaret’s passion and delight. Anytime you came to her house you were guaranteed leaving with a full belly, plenty of laughter, and most importantly, the feeling of being loved.
Margaret’s hobbies in her earlier years included camping, ceramics, and sewing. She had various lines of work but spent many of her years working in the cannery at Stokely-Van Camp. She always enjoyed tending to her yard, her grass was always green; planting flowers, with roses always being her favorite, and of course anyone who knows her is very acquainted with the fact she decorates…… for EVERY single holiday! With Christmas being her favorite you could always count on her to light up her small town from late November to January.
Most importantly Margaret knew how to love and make everyone around her feel loved. And that’s a life well lived.
Margaret is survived by her children, Rick Cabe (JoAnn), Pam King, Frankye Dalrymple (Ross) and Chris Tonkyn (Kasey); sister, Jo-Ann Shields; numerous grand, great, and great-great grandchildren, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Margaret is preceded in death by her husband, Morris Cabe; step-daughter, Jeri Wilson; parents, Dale Jones and Florence Craig; sister, Della Phillips, and son-in-law, Cecil King.
Graveside Services will be held on Monday, March 19, 2018, at 2pm at the Lyman Cemetery followed by a Celebration of Life at the Lyman Baptist Church at 3pm. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to North Puget Cancer Care at United General Hospital as requested by the family. Share memories of Margaret and sign the online guest register.
