Martha Ann McIntyre

Thursday, February 16th, 2006

Martha Ann McIntyre, 47, of Deming, died Thursday, February 16, 2006, from catastrophic injuries suffered in a car accident.
Born in Sedro-Woolley on September 12, 1958, Martha was the youngest of five children. She attended schools in Sedro-Woolley, Vancouver, B.C. and Orcas Island. She also received certificates from Bellingham Technical College and Skagit Valley College.
As a child, Martha was an enthusiastic Camp Fire Girl and Camp Kirby camper and staff member; as an adult, she did volunteer work for Samish Camp Fire Council.
Martha knew that her greatest gift to the world was her two children, Matthew Ryan Garst 17 and Melanie Jean Garst 15. She loved them dearly and reveled in their achievements. A lifelong animal lover, Martha always had places in her home and heart for cats, dogs and birds. She loved to be with other people and everyone will miss her laughter.
In addition to her children, Martha is survived by four siblings: David McIntyre of Seattle, Harold McIntyre of Auburn, Linda Dowe of Mt.Vernon and Lisa McIntyre of Pullman; a niece, Jessica Gillespie of Marysville, and a nephew, William Kegan Dowe of Mt. Vernon.
Memorial Services will be held at Lemley Chapel in Sedro-Woolley, on Friday, February 24, at 11:00 AM with Pastor Wendy Tingley of Trinity United Presbyterian Church in Sedro-Woolley officiating. A fellowship will follow the service at the Cotton Tree Inn Convention Center, 2300 Market Street, Mount Vernon in the Orcas Room at 12:00 noon.
Memorials are respectfully suggested to The Garst Children Special Fund, c/o Bank of America, 220 Ferry Street, Sedro-Woolley, WA 98284.

My heart goes out to the family and a friend from years long ago. I have lost connection with my Roots in Sedro-Woolley which one day soon I hope to reconnect.
