I’m so lucky to have been gifted the plethora of memories of the outdoors with my Grandpa. it’s really difficult to think of a future without him, but that uncertainty is almost entirely thwarted by the warmth of thinking about being head first, waist deep in a geoduck hole with grandpa waiting up by his truck, ready to hand me an ice cold coors. Or, the many many family camping trips where his big smile would shine. love you, Grandpa.
Marv was an amazing great-uncle. I remember one time we were out at fort Casey and I learned how to make oysters on the grill. He would also tell the funniest jokes and it always made me laugh.
Every time I visited Marv he was always out working in the shop or sitting in his chair laughing he always had such an active spirit no matter what and he was always such a joy to be around.
Marvin was my grandpa and my parental guardian! I’m very grateful to have had his wisdom and experience guiding my life as I’ve grown, and he will be missed by me and all of our family very much. So many memories that it’s hard to choose, but a favorite of mine was catching my biggest fish on his boat, using a jalapeño Cheeto as my bait :) what a light in all of our lives. I’ll miss you grandpa.
Marv was a really fun and chill uncle to be around I loved talking to him about all kinds of stuff.
